Funny-Real Estate-Photo-Chair Huddle

Oh dear. Chair’s cousins (for they don’t look like true Chairs) have been feeling neglected, and are planning how to get back into the blog.

  1. You got it all wrong! They’re ganging up on the poor, defenseless table a-la Reservoir Dogs!

  2. Macos says:

It’s quite common to see this, at least in France, my parents used to do the same to protect the chair seats from rain or at least to avoid rain to stagnate on it.
But it’s funny to see this scene from this point of vue, now and in the future I’ll only see a chairs’s conspiracy :D

  3. TacoMagic says:

Chairs in the wild are ambush preditors who hunt in small packs of 3 to 6. Here we can see a pack of 4 chairs has brought down a young table who wandered from the herd to graze on the fresh moss.

    • JMixx says:

It’s truly sad how the older Tables have abandoned the young one to his ghastly fate. In some species, the adults form rings facing outward, with the young in the center, and fiercely defend them against predators.

The larger, “Conference Room” species is an example. Their young are easily recognizable by the vestigial limb, or “projector,” on top.

      • TacoMagic says:

The more inventive “Coffee” species actually hides their young in the nests of Sofas. The Sofa will then go on to raise the young as it it were its own, none the wiser to the deception. Luckily for the Coffee species, the Sofa is fiercly protective of its fostered offspring and will defend it even from the ravenous Recliners who often hunt the same region.

        • Alas, they have become rare as the invasive Side Table has encroached on their territory. The Coffee Table can’t compete with the Side Table’s superior height and ambush tactics, even though the Coffee Table has the advantage in hunting the elusive Night-Wandering Careless Shin.

  4. Yudo Nomi says:

Thanks for covering for them, everyone, but the ugly truth is that Chair’s cousins have a serious binge-drinking problem and often wake to find themselves atop loose floozies in unfamiliar backyards.

  5. Karen says:

There are a lot of odd pictures on this blog, but this is not one of them. The chairs are like this so water won’t puddle in the seat when it rains.

  6. bikerchick says:

“With no onward chain complications this property is a must to view to avoid disappointment.”

Well I would sure hope that a home in Cheddar wouldn’t have any “chain complications” because that would mean it wouldn’t melt smoothly in the microwave oven and that would be a very big disappointment, indeed. But at least all the ceilings are “smooth,” according to the very detailed listing. Whaaaaaaaa???

  7. rita says:

My first thought was that they were praying before the meal.

  8. My first thought was that they’re huddling together in terror of the creeping moss on the patio. Aaaiieee!

  9. Helen says:

Is it sad that I guessed this was somewhere in Britain based on the green patio paving (someone will scrub it with Jeyes fluid so it’ll smell like a public loo) and the questionable exterior pipes, and the dismally leant-over chairs which are in their winter hibernating position?

Anyway, I’m sure Chair will return come summer. Maybe he’s gone to Australia or NZ for the summer down there?
