Come home, all is forgiven

Oh, no! I was just thinking this morning that Chair hadn’t shown up in a while. It turns out Chair had made its way over to the Netherlands, where Nicolet found him. Like so many people on their big youthful European trip, it seems Chair has fallen in with a bad crowd. Stop, Chair! Come back! America’s sunny backyards are waiting for you!

Oh, dear … that is sad, isn't it?

It doesn't make me want to run out and buy the house.

At first glance that window on the right reminded me of Duchamp's Large Glass. Chair loves his art!

  3. Land of shimp says:

Chair appears to be staring despondently out at the rainy day, and who can blame him? That place looks like he's far more likely to be held hostage there, than willingly vacation in that joint.

Maybe it's the overwhelming gloom. Maybe it's the secret-terrorist-cell window coverings, or perhaps it's the morose array of empty bottles surrounding the kitchen walls, I don't know. Something about that joint looks like an ad for Cymbalta.

Who does depression hurt? Everyone, and the Chair.

*Sigh of relief* I was really starting to miss chair.

  5. Stuart says:

At least Chair only had to pay for his own share of the costs, because of course everyone went Dutch.

    *ahem*

    Sorry.

With that out of the way, I actually kinda like that place. There's nothing that some paint, minor repairs, and a young priest and an old priest can't fix.

Call me silly, but I'm sort of digging the hanger with the socks on it.

Hey, we all have our priorities!

Come home, darlin', come home quickly. Come hom darlin', all is forgiven, just come home quickly.

What has Chair been smoking to make that view mesmerise him so?

I also keep a spare door in one of my bedrooms. True story.

It's so sad. It makes me think of Gauguin and van Gogh, at Arles. But as chairs. Obviously.

  12. Silliyak says:

Are those railway tracks? If so this could literally be the end of the line for chair!

  13. Mesila says:

Seeing as this is the Netherlands, I have to conclude that Chair must have taken a few hundred thousand bonghits in there and forgotten to open the windows once in a while.
