Dual-purpose plumbing

This sensible bit of plumbing was found by Tania. Rather than going through all the bother of installing a waste pipe, you can just use the drain for your bath, shower, and toilet! So practical! And a time-saver, too: you can perform all your morning ablutions simultaneously.

Ooh! Am I the first poster? This bathroom is great for the guys with poor aim. No muss, no fuss!

I couldn’t get through your email, so I thought I’d volunteer the following ad, from WV. I’m not sure what to say about the bed in the attic. It seems that something should be said.

  2. Janet says:

I wonder how many people are going to wonder what “ablutions” are. Keep up the good vocabulary!

  3. Juliana says:

Hi Jorg- That’s not an attic, that’s the loft indicated in the listing. i grew up going to a cabin like that in northern Michigan, and the kids fought over who got the loft; we could perch and spy over everybody, it was our fort and secret hideaway. I’d be all over your foun dlisting but for the tiny snag of a 3/4 million dollar price tag.

  4. PrincessLuceval says:

I was just thinking this morning as I was running late again, dang, I wish the toilet was in the shower, I could take care of business! Just hand me my toothbrush, please, and I’m all set!

  5. Mid-C Frank says:

This is the ugly consequence of the american fear of bidets!

  6. Texas Triffid Ranch says:

And with the sink, who needs a urinal?

  7. Lulu LaBonne says:

This is the perfect space saving solution – now put a bed in there and let it out as a holiday apartment

  8. Stuart says:

While the Toilet Tub was designed as a time-saver by allowing one to take a refreshing shower while relieving oneself, its popularity eventually went the way of the meal-oriented time saver, the Toilet Tray.

  9. Jewels says:

Think about how easy it would be to clean the toilet though!

  10. Don't Lick The Ferrets! says:

Ha ha, that is hilarious! I am all about multi-tasking!!

  11. Crazy Mo says:

Brings new meaning to peeing in the shower, doesn’t it?

  12. Brandy says:

June Cleaver maniacally scrubbed the toilet. So hard to clean… then clean the soap off of… Her eyes lit up at the idea, as she searched Ward’s toolbox for a wrench….

  13. bikergeek says:

Is this one of those weird Massachusetts building-code things like locating the bathroom light switch outside the bathroom?

  14. Monster Librarian says:

Ha ha ha…that reminded me of the Seinfeld where Kramer put a garbage disposal in the bathtub! HA!

  15. Nate says:

This made me think of an episode of “Fairly Odd Parents” (why yes, I watch that show, and I enjoy it!)

Timmy’s dad was celebrating what he thought was a holiday and built “The Recloilet” which was a recliner with a toilet built in. Maybe he had something to do with this?

  16. Marytoo says:

    And 0 square feet!

  17. Marytoo says:

Yes, Jorg, and it’s a good thing the bed posts aren’t any taller!

  18. Anonymous says:

Is it wrong that i think this might be a good idea. I’m genuinely debating pros and cons here.

  19. Roadchick says:

Well, with a steam-proof mirror, this is an illustration of "shit, shower & shave".

I know some guys that would buy that, actually. . .

  20. 800 Plumbing says:

Looks like a great way to kill two birds with one stone.
